MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

ISLAMORADA FISH COMPANY

Originally operating as a marina snack bar in the late 1940’s the Islamorada Fish Company grew based on one simple principle, providing the freshest fish possible. Bass Pro Shops purchased the restaurant and opened the first of 22 locations in the Dania Beach Bass Pro Shops outside Ft. Lauderdale Florida. The concept of a Florida Keys themed restaurant with fresh catch flown in daily is a perfect match for a retailer founded on outfitting fishermen with the best gear for any fishing situation.

Built around a location and a lifestyle, the Islamorada Fish Company offers some key components as the core of its concept. A salt water aquarium is one of the key elements and is often the back drop to the bar as well as a visual tie between the restaurant and the retail store. Exterior seating is highly popular due to the strong tie in to landscaping and in most locations view of a lake or water

feature. Nautical / Fishing vernacular serves as the architectural framework. Reclaimed dock wood cladding provides a canvas for ocean murals, trophy catch and historical fishing photos all working together to give the Keys feel.

The Islamorada Fish Company has both a store entrance and a separate entrance providing flexibility for operating hours. Private dining, bar area, meeting rooms and a lounge complete with stone fireplace make the Islamorada Fish Company more than just a restaurant, it is a place to gather and hold events. Even though the two entities operate independently, the relationship between the restaurant and the retail store is truly a symbiotic one.
